Dog was the dominant green frog in the pond. He bullied Booger sometimes. He was smaller than the bullfrogs, but they are generally not around during the day. Buzzsaw didn't get bullied as much, but sometimes Dog seeks him out as well. We knew he was a male for three reasons: 1) He made noises and bullies 2) his "ears" (tympanums/tympana) were much bigger than his eyes 3) he had a yellow throat

. Sadly, Dog tried to swallow a bird whole and choked on the bird, and they both died. Yuck. Nature stinks sometimes.
